Dear Cleveland,

An injustice that I want to see changed in Cleveland is the relationship between civilians and the police. Now I know that not all police are bad but there are a select few who tend to abuse their power under the law creating an unsafe community. As people I feel like we should have a close relationship with our law enforcers. We shouldn’t have to worry about being harassed or the police not showing up fast enough to a place of conflict. I mean just take a look at the news. There are countless situations of violence in the streets with guns, drugs, abuse, etc. We definitely need our police at a time like this. It’s bad enough that we have criminals out there wreaking havoc, the last thing we need is false protection from the police. I believe that building a strong relationship between the police and civilians helps to build a safe and stronger community. The sooner we can do this., the sooner the great City of Cleveland starts to boom with success. Imagine a police force where kids and teens like me can look up to the police. That’s inspiring and motivating and it helps send the right message across the community

Sincerely,

Teon,
