We recently got to talk with one of our marketing team members, Ms. Keren Johnson, about the opportunities she’s had to help increase EYEJ’s exposure to Cleveland and its large community of non-profits. Keren has ample experience in the digital marketing field and has worked as a digital marketing coordinator at County Fire Protection, as well as Tremco Inc. We are extremely grateful to have such a talented and dedicated individual on our team!
Keren has strong roots in the Cleveland area and says, “I have always wanted to serve in a role that would allow me to truly make a difference in the lives of kids who need a little extra love and support.” She found this opportunity at EYEJ through her friend Carole Becerra, who serves as a board member. After gaining some background information about EYEJ, Keren concluded she could help “do some really cool things in the digital space to speak to the community…I knew that this was an organization and a mission that I wanted to contribute to.”
Keren is looking forward to interacting with the students once the academic year starts up again. She’s gotten a lot out of working with EYEJ and hopes to continue learning and making an impact with her skills and effort. “I have learned to listen more attentively, to give of my time with patience and an open mind. Most of all, I’ve learned that there’s no challenge too big that we can’t overcome!”
